As an affiliated institution of the China National Academy of Painting, the National Art Museum of China National Academy of Painting has an exhibition area of about 1,900 square meters and an exhibition line of 400 meters. It has five exhibition halls and a VIP hall. The museum has movable and easily assembled and disassembled exhibition walls. The lighting, temperature, humidity, and the mute function of the walls all meet international art museum standards.

Fundamentally, the construction of the art museum is perfected with humanized services and it is an important external display window. Since its establishment, a number of Chinese painting exhibitions with a certain artistic level representing different levels and schools have been held successively, such as ‘Exhibition of Paintings Collected by the Chinese Painting Research Institute’, ‘Joint Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Paintings’, ‘Exhibition of Paintings by He Haixia’, ‘Retrospective Exhibition of Ye Qianyu’s Creations’, etc. At the same time, in order to enhance foreign exchanges and absorb the creative experience of painters from foreign countries, Hong Kong, and Taiwan regions, exhibitions such as ‘Ink Painting Exhibition by Malaysian Painter Zhong Zhengchuan’ and ‘Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition by Hong Kong Painter Rao Zongyi’ have been held successively, all of which have had a very good social impact. While striving to do a good job in academic exhibitions, the exhibition hall continuously holds some mass art exhibitions and has done a lot of work to enrich the amateur cultural life of the masses and improve the appreciation level of the general audience.
