The National Marine Museum is located in the Binhai Tourism Area of Sino-Singapore Eco-city, Binhai New District, Tianjin, co-constructed by the State Oceanic Administration and the People’s Government of Tianjin. The museum covers an exhibition area of 23,000 square meters, showcasing the close relationship between humans and the ocean through six major exhibition areas, 16 exhibition halls, and over 36,000 precious collections from multiple perspectives such as natural ecology, historical culture, and scientific technology.
As a comprehensive ocean museum integrating collection, exhibition, research, and education, the National Marine Museum will serve China’s marine power strategy, protect marine ecological civilization, inherit marine history and culture, and tell contemporary marine stories. Opening Hours: The museum is closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; from October 11th to December 31st, it is open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Tuesdays to Sundays; during the Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, it is open from 09:00 to 21:00. Visitors who have reserved for the evening sessions are only allowed to enter the museum from 16:00 to 20:30. Essential Tips: 1. Please consciously accept security checks and do not bring prohibited items or pets into the venue; 2. Intoxication, restricted behavior capacity, and improperly dressed individuals are not allowed to enter; 3. Young children, elderly people, and those with limited mobility must be accompanied by adults; 4. Please do not make loud noises during the visit and set your mobile phones to silent mode to avoid disturbing others; 5. Visitors are not allowed to use the museum’s power supply; 6. Please do not climb over barriers, touch exhibits, and take good care of the exhibitions and service facilities. If damage is caused, you must compensate at the price and bear corresponding legal responsibilities; 7. Eating and drinking are prohibited in the exhibition halls; please eat in designated areas; 8. Smoking is prohibited in the venue; please do not litter and maintain environmental hygiene; 9. Running, chasing, fighting, climbing, and lying down are not allowed in the venue; 10. For exhibitions that allow photography, please do not use flash, selfie sticks, and tripods; 11. For activities such as讲解, teaching, research, and filming within the venue, please apply to the museum in advance and obtain permission before proceeding; 12.
