The Navy Office, also known as the Water Army Office, is the command institution of the first modernized navy in China’s modern history. As a higher military command institution of the Beiyang Navy, it was originally established in 1887. It is currently one of the best-preserved Qing Dynasty naval offices in China and also one of the larger Beiyang Navy buildings on the island. This place is not only a national key cultural relics protection unit but also a great place to understand the development history of the Beiyang Navy. The opening hours are subject to the actual opening status on the day.
