The Shaoxing moat was first dug in 490 BC when Goujian built the capital city. It connects rivers and lakes, has a long history and profound culture. The scenic spots along the moat are connected by the river and extended by greenery. Taking a boat to enjoy the scenery along the river, there are eight major garden landscapes such as Jishan Garden, Jianshui Garden, Water Control Square, Xiyuan Garden, Baihuayuan Garden, Ying’en Gate, Heqing Garden and Dusimen along the way. They are like bright pearls inlaid around the ancient city, making people overwhelmed. “Great Beauty Shaoxing” is a high-tech large-scale variety show tailored for the light show around Shaoxing City. The whole film takes the 2500-year long history of the ancient city of Shaoxing as the main line and is divided into four chapters: “Brave Shaoxing”, “Wise Shaoxing”, “Elegant Shaoxing” and “Emotional Shaoxing”.
