Following the release of their previous mini-album ‘Sleepless Night’, Peace and Waves have become more closely associated with the term ‘relaxation’. After a year of creation and refinement, they have ventured into more diverse musical arrangements and performance settings.
In the early winter of 2024, we plan to take a small tour with some new songs and a relaxed mindset, visiting Ningbo, Wenzhou, Suzhou, and finally returning to Shanghai. In the distinctive relaxed scenes of each city, we will cast our best no-stage magic, believing it will surely start your winter amidst the beautiful rhythm of relaxation. -NO STAGE- In the ‘Leisurely Winter Tour’, all four stops will feature the no-stage performance format, creating a unique relaxed musical atmosphere that is characteristic of Peace and Waves. Every music fan can immerse themselves in the rhythm and participate in the performance in the most natural way, becoming part of us. -Unreleased New Songs- Although the new album is still in production, we will bring a few new songs for live previews. These new works incorporate our fresh understanding of music, retaining the rhythmic essence of the roots while adding many electronic elements, offering a more diverse range of timbres and rhythms, and we look forward to seeing how they will interact with everyone. Of course, we won’t forget the classic songs that have won everyone’s love; the highlights from ‘Anfu Hall’ and ‘Sleepless Night’ will also be included in the setlist. Band Peace and Waves, established in Shanghai in 2015, was initially known for their energetic live performances full of rhythmic energy. They participated in the first season of ‘The Band’s Summer’ in 2019 and released their debut full-length album ‘Anfu Hall’ in the same year. The relaxed rhythm combined with elements of hip-hop and city-pop made this album stand out among similar styles. Two songs, ‘The First’ and ‘Summer’, became viral short video soundtracks on major platforms. They then embarked on a national tour and participated in various music festivals.In 2022, they participated in the 50th anniversary event of Rock Records and covered Liu Ruoying’s work ‘Alone for a Lifetime’. They reinterpreted the classic with a vivid urban attitude and received praise on various music platforms. In August 2023, they released a mini album ‘Sleepless Night’ full of trendy music elements.
