Ningguo Zen Temple is located in Xiaomen Village, Baifeng Town, Ningbo. According to the records in the Qianlong edition of ‘Zhenhai County Annals’, Ningguo Temple was originally built during the Chongzhen thirteenth year of the Ming Dynasty (1640), initially named Ningguo An. In 1919, it was renovated by the abbot Deshan. Later, it was renamed Ningguo Temple, and its abbot was concurrently the abbot of Ruiyan Temple. During the land reform, the temple was nearly destroyed, leaving only the main hall, which was later converted into a primary school. In May 1991, it was rebuilt by the abbot Miaozeng. On August 11, 1993, it was declared a district-level cultural heritage protection site. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the day’s opening conditions.
