North Guanyin Cave is composed of three natural caves. In past dynasties, it was a place for nearby people to worship and pray for blessings. There is no temple or Buddha statue in the cave, reflecting the artistic conception of ‘I have Buddha in my heart, and Buddha is in my heart’.
The ancient Guanyin Cave has almost been worn away by time. What we see now is the appearance after renovation. There was originally a stone carving of Guanyin in North Guanyin Cave. After renovation, a stone statue of Guanyin will be reinstalled in the main cave for people to pray for blessings, and a stone tablet will be erected near the cave entrance to enrich the cultural connotation of the origin of Guanyin Cave. The pool beside the cave is named ‘Huai Ci’. The two secondary caves are mainly decorated with cliff inscriptions related to Buddhist culture.
