Introduction: The Old Elephant Peak scenic area gets its name from a huge peak in the valley that resembles a giant elephant. The giant elephant faces west with its head and east with its tail. It is over 80 meters long and more than 50 meters high, like an old elephant bowing its head and dipping its trunk to draw water. Its body, legs, head, tail, nose, and eyes are extremely vivid. Strangely enough, when viewed from a different angle, it becomes a pair of elephants connected like a mother and child. The Old Elephant Peak has a primitive ecology and simple scenery, reflecting natural wild charm everywhere. The unique natural landscape and geological phenomena are hard to find in other areas. The canyon in the scenic area is winding and tortuous, with majestic mountains, deep gullies, dense forests, lush vegetation, and abundant products. There are more than 20 scenic spots such as the naturally formed old elephant, the floating clouds over the ancient castle, the fairy valley of chrysanthemums, and the chanting couplet of husband and wife dotted among them. Roe deer, Mongolian gazelles, and badgers can be traced. Hares, pheasants, squirrels, and mountain birds can be seen everywhere. The crowing of chickens, chirping of birds, running of mice, and scurrying of rabbits add more natural charm. In spring, when fairy peaches are in full bloom, the fragrance spreads for thousands of miles.
