‘Original Hometown’ is China’s first large-scale stage play with the experience of Hakka roundhouses. It is also the world’s first live-action performance with Hakka culture as the theme. The story takes the migration background of the Hakka people moving south and making a living overseas as the creative theme. Through the three performance clues of ‘crossing, tracing back, and returning’, it spans the time dimension and tells the story of the Hakka people, Hakka culture, and Hakka capital well.
