The Ou Le Bao Dinosaur Fossil Museum, covering an area of 20,000 square meters, began its trial operation on September 16, 2019. It primarily exhibits ancient paleontological fossils and the origins and evolution of the Earth. Paleontology is a discipline concerned with fossils. These extinct species, now encapsulated in stone, have been tumbled within the crust, with a small fraction fortunate or, perhaps, unfortunate enough to emerge from the Earth’s surface and meet the world. It signifies antiquity and mystery, raising questions about whether there were creatures in the distant geological times that we have never encountered, and how species evolved into their current forms. Naturally, this adds much to the sense of mystery. Visit the Paleontological Museum and immerse yourself in the world of ancient organisms to uncover the secrets of paleontology, to personally understand the fascinating details of hundreds of millions of years of Earth’s vast history of life, and to travel along the ‘axis of time’ to explore the process of biological evolution and understand its patterns. The museum is open year-round from 09:30 to 17:00.
