The University History Museum of Peking University was laid in May 1998 on the occasion of Peking University’s centennial anniversary. It was completed in September 2001. The museum building has three floors and a construction area of 3,100 square meters. The first floor is the ‘Exhibition of Outstanding Figures of Peking University’, displaying brief biographies and photos of 217 outstanding revolutionaries, thinkers, theorists, scientists, and educators in the history of Peking University.
There is a gift department on the west side of the university history museum where relevant readings and souvenirs can be purchased. Opening hours: Open all year round, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 09:00 to 16:00. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day. Must-see tips: 1. Smoking, eating, making noise, fighting, littering and other behaviors that damage the visiting environment and order are strictly prohibited in the museum. 2.
