Peng Pai was a veteran proletarian revolutionary of China, a pioneer of the Chinese peasant revolutionary movement, and a founder of the Soviet government. His revolutionary spirit of ‘selfless dedication and daring to be the first’ is still widely praised today. Born into a prominent family in Haifeng County, Peng Pai’s former residence is located on the east side of the picturesque Longjin River in Haifeng County. It is a late Qing Dynasty building, simple and elegant, preserving a large number of cultural relics related to Peng Pai’s life for visitors to admire. The main building of the residence is a two-story structure with a depth of about 11 meters. The front porch is designed in imitation of Western architecture, featuring patterned brick floors and gable walls in the style of wind and fire, with a total construction area of approximately 266 square meters. In June 1925, the remnants of warlord Chen Jiongming captured Haifeng City, and Peng Pai’s former residence was burned down. It was not until after liberation that the people’s government allocated funds to maintain the residence. In 1986, the National Cultural Relics Bureau allocated funds to rebuild the residence according to its original appearance, allowing Peng Pai’s former residence to open to the public with a new face. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the actual opening conditions of the day.
