Penglai Euro-Park Ocean & Polar World, formerly known as Penglai Ocean & Polar World, is a national 4A-level tourist attraction with an exhibition area of over 60,000 square meters. It gathers nearly a hundred species of marine life from around the world, including polar bears, belugas, penguins, walruses, seals, and dolphins. Combining观赏性, entertainment, interest, marine culture, and marine technology, it allows visitors to learn more about the ocean through a combination of dynamic and static displays, enhancing ecological awareness. The site has been honored as a ‘Provincial Science Education Base’ by the Shandong Science Association and a ‘National Science Education Base’ by the China Ocean Society.
The scenic area features twelve major themed pavilions: Tropical Rainforest Pavilion, Polar Pavilion, Whale Bay, Underwater Tunnel, Underwater Theater, Ocean Boutique Pavilion, Sea Turtle Pavilion, Shark Pavilion, Seal Island, Jellyfish Pavilion, Science Pavilion, and Ocean Theater. There are two main performances: the Mermaid Show at the Underwater Theater and the Dolphin and Seal Show at the Ocean Theater.
In the Tropical Rainforest Pavilion, cascading waterfalls, towering dense forests, and ferocious crocodiles will transport you to a mysterious and thrilling world. Through the Time Tunnel, you will arrive at the Polar Pavilion, where numerous polar marine creatures such as polar bears, belugas, penguins, walruses, and seals live freely in a white snowy world. In the Underwater Theater, mermaids weave through a colorful marine kingdom that is truly awe-inspiring. The cylindrical tanks with multiform underwater tunnels make visitors feel as if they are in the azure ocean, with marine creatures almost within reach, allowing you to take in the beautiful underwater world. The Shark Pavilion, Seal Island, Sea Turtle Pavilion, and the mysterious and magnificent underwater corals offer a unique marine experience!
In the Dolphin and Seal Performance Pavilion, the humorous seals and intelligent dolphins deliver exciting performances that are popular and thrilling, allowing you to experience the intelligence of marine animals. The opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round.
Preferential policies include free admission for children under 1.2 meters (not including), discounted tickets for children between 1.20 meters (including) and 1.40 meters (not including), discounted tickets for seniors aged 60 and above with valid identification, discounted tickets for active and retired military personnel with valid identification, discounted tickets for people with disabilities with valid identification, and discounted tickets for students with a valid Chinese mainland student ID card for full-time primary school to undergraduate university students (excluding postgraduate students), and discounted tickets for firefighters with a fire service certificate.
