Located between Binhai Road and the Municipal Government Building, Renmin Square spans an area of 6.3 hectares. The main features include an open-air stage, Roman colonnades, and a musical fountain. The main fountain’s water jet reaches an impressive height of 40 meters; a semi-circular stage is formed by 10 giant granite Roman columns, each with a diameter of 1.2 meters and a height of 11 meters, complemented by 760 colorful lights.
Two large sculptures on either side are not to be missed, depicting groups of joyful children carrying a large conch and clams towards the sea, with clear water flowing from the conch. Tourists often take photos here as a memento. At night, the square is illuminated by the glow of lights and the gentle sea breeze, attracting many citizens to gather and spend their evenings.
