Ping Mountain Rock is adorned with a couplet: ‘Ping Mountain stands tall on the Western Sky Ridge, and the rock temple relies on the Southern Island Peak.’ This was written by Zhang Dianguang, a local from the late Qing Dynasty. Another couplet states: ‘Ping Fan nurtures elegance surrounded by green screens, and the landscape is full of spirit, gushing out of the rock walls.’ This was composed by Master Yuan Ying from the Yuanming Lecture Hall in Shanghai. These two couplets encapsulate the strategic location, majestic presence, and splendid scenery of Ping Mountain Rock.
