In honor of the valiant spirits, Pingdu City established the ‘Pingdu Martyrs’ Cemetery’ in the northwestern part of the urban area in 1957. The cemetery covers an area of 49,517 square meters, with a green area of 43,224 square meters and a construction area of 1,000 square meters. It houses the remains of 3,231 martyrs, including 464 named martyrs and 2,107 martyr tombstones.
Within the cemetery, there are facilities such as the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Memorial Tower, the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Memorial Hall, the Martyrs’ Cemetery Area, the Tomb of the Unknown Martyr, and the Mourning Square.
The opening hours are from 08:30 to 11:30 and from 14:00 to 17:00 all year round, with the actual business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
