The museum is arranged and displayed according to the original layout of Pinghe Pawnshop with the front hall and the back building. The front hall is mainly based on restoring scenes and historical features, supplemented by an overview of the history of Chinese pawnshops, the evolution of Junhexu market establishment, and the people and events of Pinghe Pawnshop. The back building restores the attics on the 2nd to 6th floors. The first floor displays miniature landscapes of representative historical buildings in Baiyun District. Through scene restoration, physical display, combination of pictures and texts, and with the help of high-tech means such as sound, light and electricity, tourists can have an understanding of the mysterious Pinghe Pawnshop and the historical culture of Baiyun District. It is roughly divided into the first exhibition area: an overview of the development history of the Chinese pawnbroking industry; the second exhibition area, the historical block of Junhexu; the third exhibition area: hidden gems of Baiyun District.
