Pinghu Ecological Park, established in the late 1990s, is part of the GanKeng Wetland Reservoir area in Shenzhen. It is the sole guaranteed source of domestic water for Pinghu.
Within Pinghu Ecological Park, there are two sparkling reservoirs, GanKeng and Miaokeng, which have been quietly providing the main source of drinking water for the citizens of Pinghu for decades.
At sunrise and sunset, gazing at the water from a high vantage point, one may not experience the grand spectacle of boundless misty waves and a horizon that meets the sky, but instead, one can enjoy the shimmering, tranquil beauty of the water.
