Pingtian Town, located 58 kilometers to the east of Nanxiong City in Guangdong Province, is renowned as the ‘Land of Ginkgo’ in Northern Guangdong. It is home to over 5,000 ancient ginkgo trees that are more than a century old, producing hundreds of tons of ginkgo nuts annually. ‘Ginkgo Autumn’ is a significant tourist attraction during the autumn and winter seasons in Nanxiong. Every golden autumn, the ancient ginkgo trees in areas such as Ao Bei, Jing Dong, Jiang Tang, Wang Tang, and Jun Ying Zhai within Pingtian Town turn yellow, creating a golden carpet on the ground and attracting numerous photography enthusiasts, artists, and writers from both within and outside the province to visit and create.
