The Harbour Authority Building, originally known as Moore Barracks, was later transformed into the office location for the Naval Affairs Department and the Water Police Station (today’s Harbour Authority), hence its common name, the Naval Yard. The building features a European architectural style with a dominant yellow and white color scheme, creating a neat and rhythmic aesthetic. The long, Arabic-style corridors are quite beautiful.
Built on a platform enclosed by granite, the building is predominantly single-story except for a central section that stands about 6.6 meters tall and is two stories high. The entire structure is painted yellow and adorned with white patterns, which contrast sharply with the rough granite base in both color and texture. Except for the side near the A-Ma Temple, the building is surrounded by a 4-meter-wide corridor with Islamic-style pointed arches on three sides. The arches are decorated with trefoil motifs, and the parapet features rhythmic, crenelated square pyramid decorations, creating a strong sense of rhythm. The building is open to the public from 9:00 to 18:00 all year round.Harbour Authority Building
