Grammy-nominated American DJ, producer, and electronic music pioneer Porter Robinson will return to Mainland China in early December with his SMILE! 😀 World Tour, visiting Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shanghai. After debuting his band format at his sold-out music festival SecondSky and delivering a stunning performance at the main stage of Coachella 2023, Robinson will once again incorporate a band into his tour, presenting a brand new live production. Prepare to be immersed in the震撼的音浪 and mesmerizing visual effects as you enter Porter Robinson’s electronic music realm.
At the age of 18, this North Carolina producer and songwriter quickly rose to prominence with his unique and powerful electronic house style. In 2014, his debut album Worlds achieved massive success. In 2016, Porter collaborated with Madeon to release the RIAA Gold-certified single Shelter, followed by the Shelter Live Tour, which spanned four continents and 43 shows. The following year, Porter released music under the new moniker Virtual Self, earning his first Grammy nomination with the BBC Radio 1 hit Ghost Voices. In 2019, Porter hosted the inaugural SecondSky festival, with 30,000 tickets selling out within a day. In 2020 and 2021, Porter Robinson hosted the virtual festival SecretSky, attracting over 6 million viewers and becoming one of the most popular virtual festivals at the time. Later in 2021, with the release of his second album Nurture, the SecondSky festival returned to the Bay Area, with 40,000 tickets selling out in a day. Subsequently, the Nurture North American tour was also a success, selling over 150,000 tickets and becoming the highest-grossing electronic music tour of 2021. In 2022, Porter’s collaboration with Riot Games on the single Everything Goes On achieved over 100 million global streams. That same year, he also made his debut with two exclusive full-band performances, at SecondSky 2022 and the main stage of Coachella 2023.
The event will be open from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Monday, December 2nd, with the performance starting at 8:00 PM. The exact duration of the show will be determined on site.
