President Ennis Square connects the important streets of Coloane and the old city. It is small in area. The square was named in commemoration of Portuguese President Ennis who visited Macau for the first time. Interestingly, there is a statue of Cupid, the God of Love, erected in the center of the front ground, which once attracted television stations to film dramas here. A variety of plants are planted in the square, which is lined with green trees and is called “Garden Boy” by local residents. There are many authentic specialties, fish products and community shops around President Ennis Square, such as Portuguese egg tarts. Visitors can enjoy delicious food while visiting.
