**Primitive forest**
**Description**
At an altitude of 2930 meters, the primitive forest is located at the end of Rizegou and the southernmost tip of Jiuzhaigou. The vegetation is mainly composed of various firs and spruces, with trees hundreds to thousands of years old. The undergrowth shrubs include honeysuckle, rhododendron, arrow bamboo, rowan, etc. The moss is several tens of centimeters deep, and the negative oxygen ion content reaches 3000 per cubic centimeter. The air is fresh, with little dust and low noise. The oxygen and negative oxygen ion content in the air is high, making it a natural large oxygen bar. Strolling among it, a vast expanse of heaven and earth rises in the heart, giving rise to tranquility and serenity.
In the forest, white mist gently swirls. Ancient trees tower into the sky, powerful and straight up to the clouds. The majestic style of the trees connecting with the sky is fully revealed. Birds start singing and welcome tourists from all directions. The mountain wind blows merrily. The pine waves surge one after another. The sound is sometimes high-pitched, sometimes low-pitched, sometimes like a violent storm, sometimes like a gentle song and dance, like the sounds of nature. Occasionally, the line of sight is attracted by the little squirrels coming out to look for food. They jump around but are shy and evasive. Small, lovely, and timid, they are the little elves in the forest.
As you ascend the steps, a kind of red tree will come into view. Its bark is very thin and has separated from the main trunk and curled slightly, as if peeling off. It is particularly eye-catching in the green forest. This is the red birch tree. This tree grows on slopes at an altitude of 1500 to 3000 meters. Like coral in the sea, it is bright and brilliant, and also reveals the thickness and vicissitudes of life. It guards Jiuzhaigou like the bright flame. Legend has it that this almost peeled bark is a token of love between Tibetan men and women. Tibetan guys will break off the bark of the red birch tree, carve their feelings on it, and give it to the girl they like, also symbolizing eternal love.
