The Pudong Grand Theatre is located at 61 Yangxin Road, Pudong New Area. It is adjacent to the Expo Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone in the north and Huangpu River’s Qiantan in the west. The building area of the Pudong Grand Theatre is 3,000 square meters, and the theater area is 2,500 square meters. The theatre has two floors. There are a total of 728 seats for the audience (457 on the first floor and 271 on the second floor). The Pudong Grand Theatre is based in Pudong and serves Shanghai. Taking the research, protection and inheritance of traditional Chinese operas and the promotion of modern dramas as its own responsibility, it creates a high-level performance venue serving audiences throughout the city.
