Puhu Scenic Area is located between the new and old embankments on the left bank of the Binzhou section of the lower Yellow River, initiated in early 1985. It is a famous tourist destination in the Yellow River Delta region and an important part of the Binzhou Yellow River National Water Conservancy Scenic Area.
Not only does it boast beautiful scenery and charming views, but it also has an extremely rich historical and cultural heritage. It serves as a witness to the changes in the ancient river channels and the lower reaches of the Yellow River over the past century. The scenic area originally consisted of two parts, Puhu Lake and Pu Garden, covering a total area of 215 hectares, with 174.372 hectares of water surface and 15.312 hectares of green space. Puhu Lake was once the site of the old Putai County. On the night of August 29, 1976, the Yellow River flood breached the city’s protective embankment, and the ancient city, which had existed for over 780 years, disappeared from sight. The scenic area is open all year round, with full-day access.Puhu Park – A Scenic Spot in Jinan, Shandong
