The Puppet Bookstore moved into No. 9 Tongzheng Alley in 2019, echoing the puppet troupe.
The pure white reading space on the first floor is combined with the terrace on the second floor. Through a modern and innovative decoration style, it creates a youthful and composite aesthetic space.
The store is filled with puppet elements. Here, you can not only enjoy leisurely reading time, but also experience traditional intangible cultural heritage skills such as puppet making. There are puppets from various countries collected in the store.
The Puppet Bookstore also carries out research and study activities on string puppet shows. In the small theater, you can enjoy the string puppets up close and immerse yourself in the performance. It is clearer than watching in the troupe theater, and you can also experience operating the string puppets by hand.
