Qi Jiguang, also known as Yuanjing, Nantang, and Mengzhu, was posthumously titled Wuyi. He was a Han ethnic individual, born in Penglai, Shandong. Qi Jiguang was a renowned general against Japanese pirates during the Ming Dynasty. As an outstanding military strategist, calligrapher, poet, and national hero, his contributions to history are significant.
The Qi Jiguang Sculpture stands as a tribute to his legacy and is accessible all year round, open at all times of the day.
