Penglai is the hometown of Qi Jiguang, a renowned national hero and anti-Japanese general in China. Since the early Ming Dynasty, when Qi Bin (the fifth ancestor of Qi Jiguang) inherited the position of Commandant of Dengzhou Wei, the Qi family has been living here for over 600 years, leaving behind numerous cultural relics and historical sites in Penglai. The well-preserved Qi family historical sites mainly include Qi’s Ancestral Hall, Qi’s Memorial Archway, and Qi’s Cemetery. Commemorative structures include the Qi Jiguang Memorial Hall and a standing statue of Qi Jiguang.


The Qi Jiguang’s hometown scenic area includes attractions such as the Mother-Son Filial Piety and Father-Son Governor Memorial Archways, Qi Jiguang’s Armory, Qi’s Mansion, and Qi’s Ancestral Hall. The opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:30 all year round.


Preferential policies: Children: Children aged 6 years (inclusive) or below, or with a height of 1.4 meters (inclusive) or below, are free of charge; minors aged 6 years (exclusive) to 18 years (inclusive) can enter with an ID card for 25 yuan per person.
