The Qi Long Gorge exploration rafting, an experience where Emperor Qianlong once rafted on a dragon, invites you this summer to relive history. Spanning approximately 3.5 kilometers, the journey features a total drop exceeding 100 meters, with the longest drop reaching up to 200 meters. The entire adventure takes about 1.5 hours to complete.
Located in Qi Long Village, Qian Tan Town, Hangzhou City, Qi Long Gorge is conveniently situated at the intersection of the Hangzhou-Qiandaohu Expressway and Lin’an-Jinhua Expressway. It is just 3 kilometers away from the Qian Tan high-speed exit, allowing for a quick 5-minute drive after exiting the highway. Additionally, it is only about ten kilometers from Jiande High-speed Railway Station.
The rafting adventure commences at Luomatou in Qi Long, starting from the fairy pool under the Die Waterfall of Xiaokui Gate, and ends at Sun Caitan via Shangxu Bridge. Along the way, it passes through a series of miraculous sites, including the Three Pines in Winter, Aifeng Bridge, Hundred Gorges Contending for Flow, Steelyard Stone, Golden Rock, Carp Back, Three-Century Bridge, Longmen Wall, Snake Mouth, Dragon Mouth, Wooden Fish Drum, and West Glow of Nanfeng Peak. This route faithfully recreates the path Emperor Qianlong took on his dragon-shaped raft.
Within the scenic area, the canyon is deep and secluded, with clouds rising and mists shrouding the landscape. Strange rocks stand erect, and green pools mirror the surroundings. Flying streams and secluded springs abound, with ancient bridges in succession. The forest coverage rate exceeds 95%, making it a super luxurious natural oxygen bar. The large upstream reservoir, with a capacity of over 100,000 cubic meters, can fully guarantee the water flow for rafting for more than 6 hours every day.
Regarding the opening hours, Qi Long exploration rafting is open from Saturday to Sunday all year round, with operating hours from 12:00 to 15:30. It is closed all day from Monday to Friday all year round.
