Qian Lai Mountain Scenic Area is situated in Qian Cu Village, Daqiao Town, Gutian County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, and is one of the earlier ‘Qian Culture’ landscape tourist attractions in Fujian. The scenic area spans over 1000 acres and is centered around the entrance and exit, consisting of six areas: Lotus Terraced Fields, Cherry Valley, 820 Valley, Flying Waterfall Valley, Wealthy Valley, and Valley Farm, distributed in a circular pattern with a total walking trail length of 3.8 kilometers.
Qian Lai Mountain has an average altitude of 820 meters, offering a panoramic view of rolling green mountains and beautiful gorge scenery. It is only 1.2 kilometers away from the Millennium Linshui Palace, and it is said that Lady Linshui often collected medicinal herbs in these mountains. The five immortals enshrined in the Xianting Palace are also believed to have ascended to immortality here, hence it is also known as the ‘Secret Realm of Cultivation’.
The Qian Cu Village, where the scenic area is located, has the surname ‘Qian’ for the entire village, with the progenitor being Qian Peng (also known as Pengzu). Early members of the Qian family were often hermits or Taoist priests, and this place was also a venue for practitioners and immortals to play Go.
When the Linshui River flows through the crape myrtle flower sea and encounters a steep slope, it creates a charming landscape in the valley known as the Phoenix Tail Waterfall. From a distance, it looks like a white cloth hanging, vast and magnificent, stunning the passage of time.
During the appropriate seasons, the scenic area is filled with century-old persimmon trees bearing festive fruits, golden rice fields, bountiful mushroom houses, and fruitful Qian Guo Farm… The poetic beauty of the ancient village with rising cooking smoke and the romantic wilderness are enchanting.
