Qiandao Lake Giant Net Fishing was originally a fishing method of the water fishing team of Hangzhou Qiandao Lake Development Corporation. The once high yield of a single net catch was 340,000 kilograms. The largest fish caught was a black carp weighing 75.5 kilograms, which is the largest freshwater fish caught so far. Qiandao Lake Giant Net Fishing mainly uses three kinds of fishing gear: The first is the barrier net (4,000 meters long and 65 meters high), which is mainly used to surround fish in the lake. The second is silk net, and its main function is to drive fish into the ambush circle. The third is the stow net, commonly known as dustpan net, which is also what we call the ambush circle.
Opening hours: Open from 10:00 to 20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year; open from 11:00 to 19:00 on Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays throughout the year.
