The Qianlong Ancient Path is located in the West Lake District of Hangzhou City. Although the ‘ancient path’ has a historical aura, it is not very long in reality. Ascending the path from the roadside, it is approximately 100 meters long, with steps mainly constructed from slabs of stone about one meter wide, most of which are covered in moss due to their age. After renovation in 2004, a 3000-meter-long pedestrian walkway made of bluestone slabs connected from the depths of Daqing Valley in Longwu Town to this location. The ‘Qianlong Ancient Path’ acts like a chain, linking together Jiuqu Ridge, Beauty Peak, Meijia Hut, and Shi Li Lang Dang.
