The Guangzhou Lianxi Forest Park – Qianlong Gou Grand Waterfall Tourist Area is a place that embraces mountains, waters, bamboos, and stones. The area stretches approximately 3 kilometers deep, filled with poetic and picturesque scenes along the way.
Key attractions include the footprints of immortals, Maoping Ancient Village, the bamboo sea with singing orioles, the red pear (profit) wood king, the stone tiger drinking pond, the small Long stone cave, the Hui Long pool waterfall, the stone pot boiling spring, the secluded valley with emerald stream, the hundred steps ladder, and the Qianlong Grand Waterfall, among others.
The most spectacular sight is the Qianlong Grand Waterfall, with a drop of over 80 meters and a width of more than 290 meters. The waterfalls are arranged in rows, cascading down with a thunderous sound that echoes through the valley, creating a misty atmosphere and an extraordinary momentum, comparable to the Huangguoshu Waterfall.
This place has been long isolated, thus preserving its ecological environment in pristine condition, with a high concentration of negative oxygen ions reaching 100,000 units per cubic centimeter, earning it the title of a natural oxygen bar. The area is rich in flora and fauna, with wildlife such as pangolins, salamanders (small fish), chipmunks, thrushes, long-tailed tits, and more; and wild plants including lotus trees, wild lychee, pine trees, pomegranate trees, araucaria, and others.
Along the scenic route, there are viewing platforms, performance stages, rest areas, and dining areas, all highlighting the original ecology. Visitors can ascend along the stone paths, with each step revealing a new view, becoming more and more magnificent as they go higher. On the return trip, tourists can take a sightseeing vehicle back to the entrance square.
