Qiaolou Morning Bugle, also known as Qiao Lou Morning Bugle, refers to the Jin Xian Men located in Jieyang Rongcheng District. The city gate was originally constructed in the first year of the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty (1621 AD), boasting a long history and a rich legendary aura. The Jin Xian Men tower is a three-story structure, with the lower level being a moat gate, the middle level a city tower, and the upper level a glazed pavilion.
The building is adorned with vermilion lacquer painted railings on all sides, making it magnificent and resplendent. At night, under the illumination of landscape lights, it shines brightly. Jin Xian Men is situated in the heart of Jieyang City, and the locals affectionately call it the ‘Red Pavilion’. For them, it is a landmark for reaching the city center and a must-visit destination for tourists. Jin Xian Men has a storied history of development. It is said that during the Tang and Song dynasties, seven renowned scholars from this area believed that this place was suitable for building a city gate, so they engraved a stone plaque with ‘Jin Xian Men’ and buried it underground. In the Ming Dynasty, seven scholars from this place decided to build a city gate here and, upon digging, they discovered the stone plaque from the past, thus giving birth to this extraordinary ‘Jin Xian Men’.
