Qicai Beiqiuwan is located in Jiao Dong Village, Jiangping Town, Dongxing City, Fangchenggang. This beautiful bay is home to the Beiqiu relics, Jinhua Tea Garden planting base, views of the mangroves on the sea, and the maritime fishing family leisure activities.
The Beiqiu relics are characterized by a significant accumulation of shells on the mountain, predominantly oyster shells, mixed with clams, white snails, and other relics of the ancient inhabitants, collectively known as the ‘Oyster Shell Mountain’, which is covered by a layer of topsoil and vegetation. It was discovered in the spring of 1958 when villagers were digging foundations for a cattle shed. Upon examination, it was identified as a Neolithic residential site.
The Jinhua Tea is a rare and precious plant in the world, very seldom seen. Near the ancient well of Jinhua Tea, there is a century-old well with sweet and palatable spring water that visitors can taste.
Mangroves, known as the ‘Guardians of the Sea’, are beautifully preserved in the nearby Pearl Bay, covering an area of 12,000 acres. Up close, each tree stands about 5 to 7 meters tall with lush foliage; from a distance, the verdant expanse spreads across the land and sea.
Going out to sea to collect fish nets allows you to experience the life of a fisherman, showcasing your grandeur as fishing boats navigate through the marine forest, with the green leaves within reach, exploring the wonders of the ‘underwater forest’ together with the fishermen. The site remains open throughout the entire year, operating daily from 08:00 in the morning until midnight.
