Qifeng Park is located 4 kilometers south of Guancheng in Huangqi Mountain, covering an area of 1600 acres. The park features several natural and cultural landscapes, including a forest park, artificial lake, botanical garden, Huangqi Ancient Temple, Huangling Taoist Temple, Lian Spring, and the lanterns on the top of Huangqi Mountain. It is an ideal place for visitors to enjoy the greenery and learn about the history of Dongguan.
Huangqi Mountain, situated within Qifeng Park, stands at an elevation of 189 meters, resembling a flag unfurled. Prior to the Tang Dynasty, it was known as ‘Huangling’ and is a symbol of Dongguan. ‘Lanterns Hanging on Huangqi Ridge’ is one of the eight scenic spots in Dongguan according to folklore.
At the foot of the mountain, there is the ancient Huangqi Guanyin Temple, built during the Song Dynasty, which is visited by throngs of tourists during festivals. An ancient well, named ‘Lian Spring’, still exists on the hillside, and it is said that drinking from Lian Spring water can make one honest.
