Qijiang Park, located on the former site of Yue Zhong Shipyard in Zhongshan City, Guangdong, has been transformed into a thematic park. It incorporates some Western environmentalism and urban renewal design concepts, making it a successful example of industrial site preservation and reuse. The park was completed in October 2001 and was awarded the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Annual Honor Award in Design in late 2002, and the China Architecture Art Award in 2003.
