Qili Street Scenic Area is located in the southwest of Yushan County, a national sanitary county, a strong county for tourism in Jiangxi, and a garden city in Jiangxi Province. Comprising four major sections: Qili Street with a thousand years of historical and cultural accumulation, the national wetland park Wanliu, Ming Dynasty’s Gucheng Tower Folk Culture Park, and the Ice Stream River known as the ‘Oriental Venice’. The total planned area of the scenic area is 3.2 square kilometers, with a core area of 1.85 square kilometers and a total investment of 577 million yuan.
The transportation is very convenient. The exit of the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway is 4 kilometers away from the scenic area, National Highway 320 is 2 kilometers away, the high-speed train station Yushan South Station is 7 kilometers away, Yushan Railway Station is 1 kilometer away, and Sanqing Mountain Airport is 40 kilometers away.
The tourism industry is rich. Historical culture is reenacted with landmarks such as Tang Dynasty’s Luowen Inkstone, Qing Dynasty’s Kuixing Tower, Ming Dynasty’s Qili Pass, Qing Dynasty’s Wenchang Pavilion, Song Dynasty’s Nanlou, Qing Dynasty’s Zhang’s Ancient Residence, Ming Dynasty’s Wencheng Tower, Qing Dynasty’s Xingde Society, and ancient stage. There are numerous historical celebrities including Tang Dynasty poet Gu Kuang, Tang Dynasty’s Prime Minister Yan Liben, Southern Song Dynasty poets Yang Weili and Lu You, Yuan Dynasty’s literary figure Lu Qi, Ming Dynasty’s great traveler Xu Xiake, modern essayist Yu Dafu, ‘Sanmao Wandering’ author Zhang Le Ping and his wife, and Liu Zigu, one of the ‘Three Greats of Nanjing Painting’ in the Chinese painting world.
