Qingdao Aquarium, established in 1932, is one of the aquariums in China, initiated by Mr. Cai Yuanpei and other scientific pioneers of the Science Society of China. Its unique classical castle-style architecture is listed as a landmark building in Qingdao. Over the years, the Qingdao Aquarium has undergone several renovations and expansions while maintaining its original appearance, attracting visitors from all directions as a famous scenic spot in Qingdao.
The Qingdao Aquarium and the Qingdao Underwater World Scenic Area have transformed into a professional jellyfish exhibition hall – the Fantasy Jellyfish Palace. The Fantasy Jellyfish Palace is a magical kingdom of jellyfish. Here, more than ten species and thousands of jellyfish are displayed, including Moon Jellyfish, Ribbon Jellyfish, Upside-down Jellyfish, Flower Hat Jellyfish, Colored Jellyfish, and Sea Nettles. They float in the water like blooming flowers in a garden, vying for beauty and splendor. These crystal-clear marine creatures lead you into a blue dream world with their silk-like tentacles.
As the first professional jellyfish exhibition hall inland, the Fantasy Jellyfish Palace not only showcases a variety of jellyfish to visitors with advanced methods but also has established a jellyfish breeding laboratory for in-depth research and discussion on the reproduction and development of various jellyfish. Through collection, it conducts research and display of jellyfish along the coast of Qingdao. The exhibition hall is designed with new audio-visual technology to explore the wonderful life and reproduction process of marine creatures, offering a dreamy ocean journey.
