The Qingdao Fushan Kiln Ceramic Art Museum is located in Shuyuan Village, Beizhai Sub-district, Laoshan District, Qingdao City. It covers an area of about 487 square meters and has 343 pieces (sets) of collections. Traditionally, there has been no history of ceramic firing in Qingdao urban area. The earlier civil ceramic firing was only in Chengyang and Jimo areas. Xu Yake (graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic University and is currently a professor and master’s supervisor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Qingdao University) has been preparing for the Fushan Kiln Ceramic Art Studio of Qingdao University since 1996. It has been 23 years. It has developed into an important disciplinary direction relying on ceramic art education in colleges and universities in Qingdao.
