Qingdao Huashan Club features two standard 72-hole golf courses, the Classic Course and the Master Course, both of which are surrounded by mountains and water.
The Classic Course is a mountainous course designed by American designer Nelson Wright Haworth, with a total fairway length of 7150 yards, surrounded by mountains on all sides. From the first tee to the completion of the 18th hole, you will fully appreciate the designer’s meticulous planning. Haworth utilized the undulations of the mountainous terrain to create a unique undulating golf course area, blending with the changing seasons of nature, and presenting different characteristics for spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The Classic Course demands a high level of precision; you must control every landing spot to avoid the ball flying into the long grass on the mountain walls, which can be quite challenging and dangerous to retrieve. The Master Course is a water-encircled course with a total fairway length of 7080 yards, and it is a newer course. The challenges here are distinctly different from those of the Classic Course, with the charm of water hazards prominently featured in every hole, with the 5th hole’s island green being a prime example.
