The Qingdao World War I Site Museum is located in the Qingdao Mountain World War I Site Park. The overall shape of the museum is like a dove of peace, implying ‘Dove’s message, releasing peace’. The building area is nearly 10,000 square meters. The museum has more than 1,800 collections such as various weapons, military uniforms, newspapers, books, commemorative medals, and postcards from the establishment of Qingdao to the return of sovereignty. Based on a large number of precious cultural relics and archival materials, high-tech display methods such as multimedia are used for scene restoration, reproducing the difficult journey from homeland to the return of sovereignty.
Opening hours: From Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, it is open from 09:00 to 17:30; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and National Day, it is open from 09:00 to 17:30. Closed on Mondays every week (except legal holidays).
