The Qingfu Zen Temple was originally named ‘Xiwan Hall’. It was first built in the early years of the Song Dynasty, as evidenced by the ancient steles left in the temple. With the change of dynasties, the ancient temple has been damaged several times, but the incense has continued and never been interrupted. In the winter of the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, people from the township such as Zhong Ding, a successful candidate in the imperial examinations at the provincial level, Yangsheng, Ye Jichun, Jiang Guotang, and Mao Zhenfei jointly donated for reconstruction. Monk Zongyuan was the abbot. Together with his disciple Miaoyi, they solicited donations from all directions. After going through hardships, they finally achieved success. The temple halls stand in great numbers and the layout is grand and spacious, becoming a famous Buddhist forest in all directions.
