Qinghui Garden Museum is located in Qinghui Road, Daliang Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, in the city center with convenient transportation. It is one of the four famous gardens in Guangdong, the other three being Ke Yuan in Dongguan, Liang Yuan in Foshan, and Yuyin Mountain House in Panyu, all classical gardens. It is a typical Lingnan garden style, which feels different from the Jiangnan garden style in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas.
Most Lingnan gardens are conveniently located near towns and cities, occupying relatively small areas, with garden designs focusing on exquisiteness. The name ‘Qinghui’ of Qinghui Garden is derived from the metaphor of parental grace as warm and gentle sunlight. The entire garden’s scenery revolves around water, with the entire courtyard centered around a clear pool and koi fish in the streams that grow quite plump. There are artificial mountains, small bridges, pavilions, and buildings, complemented by trees such as ginkgo, wisteria, longan, and dragon fruit dates to match the landscape architecture. One might visit Chengyi Pavilion to appreciate the water color and garden views, or Bixi Thatched Cottage to see the ‘Hundred Longevity Pictures’ that are slightly less in weight. The decorative details within the garden are also worth savoring, with a plethora of decorative and appreciative ceramics, plaster, wood carvings, and glass. Among them, brick carvings and stained glass are particularly beautiful, and the ‘Hundred Longevity Peach’ in Guijilu is a fine wood carving. The scenic area is located in Daliang Town, Shunde, where Shunde cuisine represents Cantonese cuisine. After visiting the garden, one can enjoy a full meal and savor a bowl of authentic Shunde double skin milk, as eating in Shunde is of utmost importance. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:30 all year round. Preferential policies:
