Qingyuan City Museum was established in May 1988, housing offices such as the administrative office, archaeology department, exhibition and conservation department, and the educational department. The new museum building was put into use in January 2004.
The museum covers an area of over 1,200 square meters, with a construction area of over 2,700 square meters. The building is divided into two levels, with the ground floor serving as a temporary exhibition hall, featuring an exhibition line of over 3,200 meters; the second floor houses the cultural relic display rooms, exhibition halls, and various functional rooms; the exhibition line of the cultural relic display rooms and exhibition halls is over 80 meters long. Opening hours are from January 1st to July 11th, 09:00-12:00 and 14:30-17:30; from July 12th to August 31st, open Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-18:00; on Mondays during July 12th to August 31st, the museum is closed all day; from September 1st to December 31st, 09:00-12:00 and 14:30-17:30. The third floor of the museum is not open on Saturdays and Sundays, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.Qingyuan City Museum
