Introduction: Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Area is located in Jinfeng Village, Youhua Town, Qingyang County, Chizhou City, a national ecological demonstration city. It is 15 kilometers away from the county seat and 30 kilometers away from Jiuhuashan, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. The scenic area covers an area of more than 6 square kilometers. It is a tourist attraction integrating natural landscapes such as Buddhist temples, Five Hundred Arhat Mountain, karst caves, strange stone groups, maple forests, and nurseries with cultural landscapes. The scenic area is developed and constructed in strict accordance with the national 4A scenic area standards. According to legend, Qingyuan Mountain used to have only one peak. Later, it was split in half by the gods and was also called Liangfenshan. Because there is a clear spring well gushing out in the mountain and never dries up, it has been regarded as fairy water since ancient times, hence the name Qingyuan. At the end of the Song Dynasty, ‘Qingyuan Zen Temple’ was built here and still exists today. The Five Hundred Arhat Mountain in the territory was when the eminent monk Jin Dizang of the Tang Dynasty first came to Jiuhuashan. He took the east route and stopped here to rest. He left a divine trace on the rocky mountain behind the temple and vowed that all sentient beings could eliminate all the troubles of the three realms and obtain the position of Arhat. Later generations carved five hundred arhats on it according to the color and material of the rocky mountain and became famous. In addition, on June 19th, 2012 of the lunar calendar, Master Cijue who was practicing meditation in Qingyuan Zen Temple made a grand vow to seclude himself here for 18 years, becoming a major event in the Buddhist community. The sacred realm of Qingyuan is a major highlight of the scenic area. The God of Wealth statue with a height of 2.8 meters in the cave has always been a sacred statue that people must worship to pray for prosperity and wealth.
