Qingyun Tianpu Scenic Area is an essential part of Ningbo Wulongtan Scenic Spot, covering an area of 4.58 square kilometers. It consists of Qingyun Tianpu, Tianmen, Shuimen waterfalls, and Guanding Lake. The landscape is characterized by its “majestic”, “perilous”, and “magnificent” features, known for its “mighty passes and dangerous ladders, peculiar rocks, and huge waterfalls”. It is an eco-tourism area where nature and culture complement and integrate with each other.
Qingyun Tianpu features a total of 2008 stone steps with a vertical height difference of more than 400 meters. The upper section of Qingyun Tianpu has 1368 steps, symbolizing an ascent to the clouds. The scenic area boasts an abundance of landscape resources, including peculiar peaks and rocks, steep cliffs and precipices, deep gorges and valleys, bamboo forests and lakes, tea slopes and farmlands, rural villages, and hydropower stations. Additionally, it is rich in folklore, historical records, mountain dwellings, and local customs, making it a scenic area that combines grandeur, peril, and serenity, integrating natural and cultural landscapes. It possesses steep ladders, mighty waterfalls, serene lakes, peculiar rocks, beautiful streams, and numerous stones, making it a suitable destination for sightseeing, leisure, vacation, sports and fitness, and science education.
Opening hours: Winter schedule – Monday to Sunday, all day from 08:00 to 16:00, with no entry after 16:00. Summer schedule – Monday to Sunday, all day from 07:30 to 16:30, with no entry after 16:30.
