The Qiongzhou Cultural and Folk Street scenic area is located in Hainan Flower World beside the Laotie Bridge of the Nandu River on Binjiang Road in Haikou City. It is adjacent to the beautiful Hainan Mother River – the Nandu River. It is a 10-minute drive from Meilan Airport and is the core location connecting Haikou Meilan Airport and Haikou urban area. It is a characteristic scenic area supported and constructed by provincial and municipal tourism commissions.
It is one of the main venues of the Huahua Festival in Fucheng, Haikou. The scenic area integrates Li and Miao ethnic style buildings and tropical ecological garden landscapes. The street is 380 meters long. The project is planned to be a Hainan ecological tourism and cultural theme park integrating cultural performances, tourism, leisure, catering, private museums and folk culture inheritance. The ‘Doctor’s Residence’ Qing Dynasty Home Art Museum in the scenic area is a museum displaying Huizhou architecture art and Hainan folk culture. The museum was built in the late Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. The four characters ‘Scholarly Family’ on the plaque on the main entrance were inscribed by Emperor Kangxi in person in the 46th year of Kangxi. So far, it has a history of 315 years.
