The Qipanshi Scenic Area is located in the east of Laoshan Scenic Area. It is adjacent to Taiqing and Shangqing scenic areas in the south, Yangkou scenic area in the north, Jufeng scenic area in the west, and faces the sea in the east. In the scenic area, there are mainly natural landscapes such as Qipanshi (Checkerboard Stone), natural caves such as Naluoyan Cave. There are also the Mingdao Temple, a Taoist temple with a high altitude in Laoshan, and the Huayan Temple, a modern temple. This scenic area is named after the Qipanshi, a strange peak with an altitude of 637 meters northeast of Jufeng. The scenic area has ten scenic spots including the mountain gate of Huazang World, the statue of Faxian, the pillar stone, the statue of Yu Qi, Huayan Temple, Naluoyan Cave, and Wanghaimen.
