The Qishan-Pingtian Lake Scenic Area is located 2 kilometers east of Chizhou urban area. It is mainly composed of Pingtian Lake and Qishan on the south bank. The lakeside is well greened. The beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains along the way makes people feel comfortable. In the evening, you can take a walk, enjoy the breeze and see the night view along the wooden plank road by the lake. Here is also a paradise for anglers. Not only local people in Chizhou, but also tourists from surrounding areas will come to fish by the lake. On the west bank of the lake is the Lotus Terrace of Pingtian Lake. It is a lotus-shaped observation deck extending into the lake. Because it is close to the urban area, it is a great place to see the lake view. The observation deck will be lit up at night. The Qishan on the south bank is not high. You can quickly climb to the top of the mountain. The famous ones on the mountain are the statue of Yue Fei and Cuiwei Pavilion. Du Mu of the Tang Dynasty once wrote ‘Climbing Qishan on the Ninth Day’. Yue Fei once wrote ‘Cuiwei Pavilion in Chizhou’ here. The numerous cliff carvings on the mountain should not be missed. The ‘Qishan’ inscribed by Bao Zheng of the Northern Song Dynasty is very magnificent. At the western foot of Qishan is the Chizhou Zoo, which is suitable for tourists with children. On the east bank of Pingtian Lake is Bishan, which is also a small hill. At the top of the mountain is Wanghualou. The cruise ship moored by the lake is said to have been a hotel. It is now closed and has become an alternative scenic spot on Pingtian Lake. On the north bank of the lake are scenic spots such as the spiritual turtle worshiping the mountain, the charm of Li Bai’s poems, and the windmill sculpture. The opening hours are from January 1st to December 31st, open all day. The opening hours of various small scenic spots inside are different.
